Mitt Romney Gets Ahead of Himself

At a campaign event today, Mitt Romney discussed potential vice presidential picks. He added that specualtion is a bit premature — you don’t say!

Also in Mitt news, there’s chatter about unethical fundraising practices (but Hugh Hewitt likes it). Why can’t Romney get unpaid volunteers like a normal candidate?

Finally, Mitt spoke to the Club for Growth tonight, a group that might be interested in Romney’s stated opposition to the Steve Forbes flat-tax proposal in 1996 (he called it a “tax cut for fat cats” back then).

Doing opposition research on the Romney candidacy has to be the easiest job in politics, good grief. (And to add to my Romney YouTube argument from last week, here’s Mitt’s friendly chat with Ann Coulter, just shortly before this happened.)
