If Fred Thompson runs for president, the FCC’s equal-time rule may prevent cable TV from showing their daily string of Law & Order reruns. Fortunately for them, I think there are enough Thompson-free episodes to get through the campaign. Of course, we wouldn’t want people voting for Fred Thompson just because of his role on a TV drama series. (Really, who does that?)
This reminds me of the last presidential campaign when, living in Massachusetts at the time, I wasn’t able to watch Al Sharpton host SNL because it was blacked out due to the approaching New Hampshire primary.
