Everyone has been enjoying the Boston Globe’s Tuesday article leaking details of an internal strategy document from Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign. The Globe’s web site even put up an image of one of the 77 Powerpoint slides, and it looks like the kind of thing the boss’s unruly nephew threw together during his internship.
I seriously doubt this type of work would cut it at Bain Capital.
The whole France-bashing thing is just silly at this point. Great idea, let’s run a presidential campaign based on jingoism and xenophobia! Seriously though, why do the likes of Chris Cillizza conclude that, “Mistakes like these are not terribly important.” Isn’t it at least somewhat important that a major party candidate plans to run for office based on demonizing an important American ally? If not, shouldn’t it be?
