On the “Are you kidding me?” scale, this one ranks pretty high: Isiah Thomas has received a multiyear extension from the Knicks to remain the team’s head coach and president. This is a team that is 29-34, fighting for the last playoff spot in a weak Eastern Conference despite a $139 million payroll.
